Frequently Asked Questions

Is the treatment called HD Brows or High Definition Brows?

HD Brows launched in 2008 and became the authority in creating perfect arches for men and women across the UK. Since then, they have discovered that they’re not just experts in brows...

The celebrated HD make up collection launched in 2014 and just 2 years later they re-branded as High Definition; the pioneering beauty brand committed to delivering luxury, world class treatments, award-winning make up and not just offering training courses, but careers in beauty.

The treatment once known as HD Brows is now known as High Definition Brows. The treatment itself is exactly the same great brow treatment as before

Are you a Qualified Brow Stylist?

Yes, I am a fully qualified High Definition Brows Stylist. I trained at the High Definition academy in Glasgow in 2016.

Only those who have trained exclusively with High Definition themselves can perform the High Definition Brows treatment. I proudly display my certificate in my studio and I am listed on the HD Salon Finder http://beautyinhighdefinition.com/salon-finder/

I attend a refresher course each year and am working towards becoming a Pro Stylist and eventually a Master Stylist

How long does the treatment take?

This isn’t just a brow shape – this is an experience which usually takes between 45-60 minutes for an initial treatment including consultation and between 30-45 minutes for your maintenance.  So sit back and relax – while I work the High Definition magic.

How long does the treatment last?

The effects of the treatment regularly last between 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. You’ll soon discover how often you should be repeating the treatment and at the end of the day it's down to your personal preference.

How much are High Definition Brows?

Prices start at £25 and vary depending on the salon you visit and the skill level of your Stylist. Please contact me or keep an eye out on my Facebook & Instagram pages for up to date prices as I often have special offers and discounts

What’s the difference between High Definition Brows and a standard Wax & Tint

High Definition Brows are totally tailored to you. HD Brow Stylists begin with an in-depth consultation to discuss size, shape and the look you want before beginning work on your bespoke brows.

Custom-blended colour is applied and whether we darken, lighten* or simply tone the natural colour of your brow hair, we’ll ensure your new brows complement your look, and your style. From there, we use our exclusive brow mapping formula to design your unique shape before using a combination of High Definition hair removal techniques to create it. Finally your brows will be perfected using our luxury make up collection – you’ll be given a mini make up lesson to help you maintain and make the most of your brows between appointments.

And don’t worry if there isn’t enough hair to create your perfect arch immediately, we’ll put you on a regrowth programme and work with you every step of the way to achieve the perfect brow for you.

I think you'll agree that's much better than a regular wax & tint!

*Lightening performed by Master Stylists only

My brows are over-plucked and sparse – can I still get High Definition Brows?

Hope is not lost! I will work with you on a re-growth programme to achieve the perfect brow shape for you. In the meantime, you can ‘fake it to make it’ with a little make up application, which I will demonstrate for you. Use the High Definition Lash&Brow Booster to encourage and improve hair growth, apply twice a day to see the best results.

How can I keep my brows looking fresh between treatments?

We offer a range of award winning brow make up to keep your brows looking their best, all day, every day. Whether it’s soft and subtle or a more dramatic brow look you’re after – High Definition have the right product for you.

Do I need to do a patch test?

Yes, it's a requirement of my insurance that you be patch tested before every treatment. Patch tests must be carried out 48hours before your appointment and you must show me the patch test when you arrive. No patch test, no tint.

You can develop an allergy to the tint at any time so even if you've had tint before and been fine, it's no guarantee that you wouldn't have a reaction.

The patch test is very easy to do and very discreet. It only takes 2 minutes to apply and could save you from an awful reaction on your face. It really is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to tinting.

I will give you a patch test at the end of each appointment or I will post one out to you ahead of your next appointment.

Are High Definition Brows just for women?

No, High Definition Brows can be great for women or men. Men typically ask for more of a tidy up than a more defined treatment but if you're after a tint and / or a more defined shape then we can make it happen
